BASIN HEARTWATCH 200 CLUB

RULES

1. Name of the club is Basin Heartwatch 200 Club.
2. The primary objective is to raise money to support the Community First Responders.
3. The minimum stake shall be £1 per week and up to a maximum of £5 per week. Consequently payments by standing order  will be for £4, £8, £12, £16 or £20 per month.
4. Anyone over the age of 18 may join. Entries may be paid for by monthly standing order or, for those joining on 1st September only, by cheque for 1 year in advance.
5. Fifty percent of the income will be paid as prizes. The following example illustrates the distribution of prizes based on 200 members paying £4 per month.

44 weekly prizes of £50, plus
!st prize £250, 2nd prize £100, 3rd prize £75 paid quarterly on the last day of March, June, September and December.
Total prize money £4800.

The value of prizes will be pro-rata according to the level of subscriptions.
6. All prizes will be paid by cheque. A list of winners is available from the promoter.
7. Members wishing to change their standing order must give 3 months notice in order for the allocation of prizes to be adjusted.
8. The Club's bank account shall be a Treasuers Account based with HSBC Maldon High Street, sort code 40-31-35, account number 21333046.
9. A committee of three members of the First Responder Group shall administer the Club.
10. The Club shall be registered as a lottery with Maldon District Council. Standing Orders will be paid in advance and the draw will take place on the last Friday of the month.
11. All running expenses shall be taken from the profit and not the prize money.
12. Any matters not covered by these rules will be decided by the committee of the Basin Heartwatch and ratified by a vote of all qualified First Responder members of the Group at that time.
