A SUCCESSFUL RESUSCITATION
June Crozier from the Heybridge First Responder
group, was attending a funeral in the nearby village of Tollesbury, when
the organist, John Crossley, collapsed and went into cardiac arrest
whilst playing the organ. Whilst June rushed to fetch her AED from her car, a nurse commenced CPR. After two shocks, the patient returned to spontaneous circulation before the arrival of the HeliMed air ambulance which took him to hospital where John had a triple by pass operation. He was reunited with June at the Boreham airbase. John said, "I am extremely grateful to June, as without her speedy action, I would not be here today." Published with permission of THE RESPONDER, an East of England Ambulance Service publication. |
June Crozier receives a certificate on behalf of the Heybridge Group at a reception held at Broomfield Ambulance Training Centre for First Responder Groups. Certificates were presented to Groups that have been active for over five years. |
